Just a heads up that IRDC 2011 kicks off on Wednesday, September 7—two days after Labor Day. That means Tuesday the 6th will be a travel day for most attendees. And that makes it awfully tempting to tack on the holiday weekend and give yourself a few extra days in America’s unofficial “favorite city.”
How to spend those extra days? You could explore interesting retail such as Flight 001, Miette and the first Athleta store … savor good food and good design at some of the hotspots in our IRDC Guide to San Francisco Restaurants (arriving in your in-box this week) … or take in the once-in-a-lifetime Picasso exhibition at the landmark de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park.
As always, the conference ends on a Friday, so you have your choice of weekends to tack on. Either way, the IRDC group rate at the Parc 55 can save you money; it’s good September 4-12.
