All 2011 IRDC events will take place at the Parc 55 Wyndham, a four-diamond, 1,010-room boutique hotel in downtown San Francisco.
Located just one block from the Union Square shopping district and across the street from the famed Westfield San Francisco Centre, the Parc 55 puts IRDCers in the heart of the city’s retail hub. And it boasts some of the best views of “America’s favorite city.”
If you haven’t yet reserved your hotel room for IRDC 2011 in San Francisco, here’s the scoop on rates and availability:
• The conference hotel, the Parc 55 Wyndham, still has available rooms, but not in the sold-out IRDC discounted room block. The new rates, which vary by date, average $229 per night. If you want to be close to the action 24/7, book your room at the Parc 55 here.
• The InterContinental San Francisco, which is .3 miles or about 7 minutes from the Parc 55, has rooms for $180 per night. Adjacent to the Moscone West Convention Center in San Francisco’s SoMa (South of Market) neighborhood, the InterContinental is an easy walk to SFMOMA, Union Square and plenty of great restaurants and retail. GROUND TRANSPORTATION
The Parc 55 Wyndham is 14 miles from San Francisco International Airport (SFO). For those renting a car or driving to the conference, valet parking is available on-property for $48 per day. In addition to taxis, options for ground transportation include:
Super Shuttle IRDC attendees will receive a 10% discount on shuttle service to the Parc 55 via the Super Shuttle (regularly $15 one way). The shuttle drops off and picks up in front of the hotel every 15 minutes from 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Reservations are required after 4:00 PM and can be made with the bell captain or doorman. San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) Guests may board BART at the airport, taking any train heading toward Downtown San Francisco/Powell Street, including all of the following lines: Pittsburgh Bay Point, Richmond, Pleasanton, Dublin and Freemont. Depart the train at the Powell Street stop; the hotel is located just steps from the station.
