Barry Hand


Barry Hand is a Principal in Gensler’s Dallas office and a Regional Mixed Use Practice Area Leader within the firm. Gensler, a global architecture, design and planning firm with 46 locations and more than 5,000 professionals networked across Asia, Europe, Australia, the Middle East and the Americas, strives to make the places people live, work and play more inspiring, more resilient and more impactful. Barry’s 25+ year career spans a wide range of large, aspirational projects in domestic and international markets. Passionate about “bold ideas”, Barry excels at navigating their many complexities and directing the teams bringing these ideas to reality. His thought leadership and understanding of the highest and best uses for sites brings about projects that are durable, authentic and inspired—grounded in fulfillment for the range of users across the life of a project. At Gensler Dallas he has led a variety of high-profile mixed-use projects including Toyota Music Factory, Legacy West, and Legacy Hall—one of the nation’s largest and most unique new food halls.
