Charles Brown is President of The Source, Canada’s largest consumer electronics and mobile retailer. He is responsible for overseeing the company’s domestic and international operations, including more than 550 retail locations across the country. Since 2011, Mr. Brown has led The Source’s transformation into a growing and significant consumer electronics and communications retailer through completely revamping the product line, as well as through a modernization of the stores’ look and feel that has resulted in renewed sales growth and increased market share.
In 2009, he was named Chairman of the Board of The Source, and in February 2011, he became President. Prior to joining The Source, Mr. Brown was a senior executive with Bell. Between 2006 and 2009, he held various positions including serving as Bell’s lead executive in charge of providing full telecommunication services to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
Mr. Brown sits on various boards, including the role of Vice-Chair for the Kids Help Phone Board of Directors; Chair of the Board of Northwestel; and is a member of The United Way of Toronto and York’s Campaign Cabinet. He has a Bachelor’s from the University of Toronto, an MBA from the Ivey School of Business, and an ICD.D from the Rotman School.
