Helen Herrick

Former Global Head of Store Design
Capital One

In her former role of Head of Store Design for Capital One Bank, Helen Herrick led a team that worked to reimagine the physical environment of retail banking and the relationship of customers to their neighborhood branches. While at Capital One, Helen was responsible for the conceptual design for all new branch and café locations. She led the design and prototyping team in the development of designs that met the strategic needs of the bank, while recognizing the different ways in which customers want to interact through technology and physical locations.

Helen joined Capital One in 2012 having specialized in retail architecture and design for 20 years. She was formerly the Director of Store Design and Planning for Ann Taylor; Senior Director of Store Design for Gap Inc.; Store Designer for Eddie Bauer, and Staff Architect at Seattle-based Mithun Partners.

She holds her B.A. in Architecture and Master of Urban Planning degrees from the University of Washington.
