John Box Bricker
John founded Gensler’s Retail and Branding studio in 1980, and he has played a pivotal role in the practice’s growth in both the New York and San Francisco markets. He was also instrumental in developing the Gensler brand into one of the most recognizable names in the design industry. He continues to develop the Firmwide Retail Brand and Brand Design Practice Areas, expanding them into emerging markets in Latin America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Bricker has been recognized by BusinessWeek, Interior Design, Contract and Hospitality Design for his industry-leading thinking, and was recently profiled in Business of Fashion and The Real Deal. His projects have won numerous awards, including Shop! Retail Design Awards for El Palacio de Hierro and Cadillac House. Some of his recent projects include Adidas, Melissa McCarthy, Cadillac House and the NBA Store on Fifth Avenue. His projects have been published in nationally recognized publications including The New York Times, Interior Design and Cool Hunting.
