Natalie Coulter has worked in retail styling in some shape or form for more than 25 years. She describes herself as an educator, visual merchandising expert, installation artist and social entrepreneur. Her business, Belle Flaneur, is a sustainable style studio that strives to work with preexisting materials. Natalie’s knowledge and experience of retail and styling excelled when she lived in New York for 14 years and worked at Elle magazine. She later freelanced as a fashion stylist in both New York and Sydney. Her experience includes retail styling for in-store and online spaces, corporate events, interior and fashion styling. She has spoken around the world about the work her business performs. On her travels, Natalie carefully studies the trends that are coming into the retail environment, observing the latest retail innovations and customer expectations. Natalie has developed and teaches units within the Visual Merchandising Department at Sydney TAFE which are part of the Visual Merchandising Diploma.
